Green Alcaparros

Our campus is set among mountains has a reservoir, ecological trail, and is surrounded by native forest. We are connected to nature in a privileged way.

We care for the environment where we are and have sustainable practices.  Caring for nature on campus is put into practice in our small farm and vegetable garden, the water reservoir, the ecological corridor, the native forest, the planting of trees and the protection of the Quebrada del Ají.

We take care of water by collecting rainwater and managing our own drinking and wastewater treatment plants. In addition, waste management programs, composting, recycling and reuse of materials are part of the daily life of the students.

Sustainable Campus Strategies

Projects and Sustainability

Since Kinder 4 we work on the care of nature and sustainability as part of the curriculum, including the care of themselves, others and the environment.

The themes of several of the projects revolve around sustainability, from the study of natural phenomena, patterns in the animal world to the responsibility of our society in its deterioration.

Through art we explore our relationship with the land with our Land Art program.

PRAE

Alcaparros’ vision is aligned with its philosophy of active learning, where students can solve problems they may face in their daily lives.

Projects

We guide students to explore, interact and exercise their creative imagination through purposeful play.
